A guide for a Young Couple
During one of my meetings I encountered a future Young Couple in which - according to the unwritten tradition - the more active side in agreements was the Bride. Seeing boredom on the face of his partner, she said:
"Don't you understand that a woman is born and on the very next day she begins thinking ahead how this special day should be look like?".
That statement can be considered the essence of the preparations for the wedding. It's an important family celebration.
Observations and conclusions concerning the setting of a wedding ceremony presented below were made throughout nearly 12 years of being in the nuptial business and thanks to dozens, if not hundreds of orders as well as even larger number of meetings with customers.
The Bride's attribute or appearance and shape of the wedding bouquet
The type of looks, build, a planned make-up colour, the colour of a wedding dress and its accessories as well as the "nature" of an outfit itself: traditional, extravagant or rather very modern - these are the most important elements that must be taken into consideration while defining a wedding bouquet. It is also desirable to pay attention to the favourite flower of a future Bride. Let's not forget that the bouquet may become a desired complementary element of the Bride's "image" or damage it completely.
The Groom's buttonhole or the complement of the Bride's bouquet
There's no denying that while defining a clip-on on the Groom's buttonhole, what is important is the type of flower that had been used in a wedding bouquet and the colouring of your man's outfit. If there is dark clothing we definitely match a flower, which used in the bouquet in light colouring. In light colouring, dark clip-ons look definitely smarter. What seems unnecessary minimalism at first glance is going to be appreciated while looking at photos, in which the Young Couple are in perfectly matching colours.
Witnesses and the Young Couple's Parents
Witnesses as the Young Couple's assistants must not be left alone the more so because they accompany them throughout the wedding ceremony as well as the wedding reception.
The floral pattern for the Bridemaid can be chosen according to two criteria. We may order a miniature wedding bouquet of the bride, of course it should be in the colouring that correspond with the Bridesmaid's gown colour or we take into account the so-called decorative flower band, that is a floral pattern worn as a bracelet.
However, if we are considering a flowery accent for the Parents then we take into account only men. Here we also pick a clip-on to the jacket lapel, mainly in light colouring and mainly using the most classic flower that is rose. We should however remember about the flowers as a thank-you to the Parents for putting their hearts and souls in shaping our personality as well as for a tremendous amount of effort and outlays on wedding arrangement. The most frequent order as a special form of appreciation is for baskets.
Decoration of the wedding reception room
While defining a decoration of the wedding reception room the entire colouring of the flowered ordered may definitely be taken into account. If the flower colours used in a wedding bouquet match the whole colouring image of the room, nothing stands in the way of keeping the same colour while decorating it with floral patterns. While decorating the wedding reception room with flowers we should certainly think about the table for the Young Couple, flower patterns on other tables and guest chairs and finally about additional elements e.g. a buffet table in the room or a bar. There are also other distinctive places that can be decorated, e.g. a fireplace, a bookrest on which the list of guest seats is displayed or a cloakroom. What is most important, all the details must fit together into a harmonious whole, creating a beautiful marvellously aromatic background for your celebration. While defining colouring it is recommendable to take into account two, three colours maximum. Of course we don't mean by that completely different colours, but shades. White and ecru combination, looks far better, rather than juxtaposition white and red with some other colour.
The floral decoration of the church.
While defining church decoration it is advisable to find out whether, and to what extent the decoration is being done by nuns. If the church offers something for its part, we can consider only complementing a decoration. In that case we should set colouring and the range of particular preparations. If we happen to get phone numbers to other young couples that enter into matrimony on the same day it's recommendable to get in touch with them, to share the potential expenditure with a few couples.
Usually decorations include:
  • An altar - it may have either fan-like composition situated in the centre or two smaller bouquets at each side of it .
  • prie-dieux - we can take account of some small decoratives of both prie-dieux and the Young Couple's seats.
  • central nave - it is also an important part of a church, which cannot be undecorated. It's through that nave you shall be walking over to the altar among your guests.
  • Side altars - they can be considered either as a complement to the whole decoration of a sanctuary or be dispensed with.
Decoration of a bridal car.
To start with, it's better to define the bridal vehicle - whether it is going to be a sports car, a vintage car or a de luxe limousine. Young couples often rent a droshky or a coach. Or, on account of short time when a car is indispensable, perhaps you would like to go by the car of someone of your family? For each of these vehicles some intriguing decorations can be suggested. Sometimes traditional, sometimes modern, sometimes avant-garde. It's important that the decoration matched the bridal means of transport.
